V I N T A G E . E A R R I N G S . A R E . F U N

My fascination with vintage earrings began in the Victorian Market, in Melbourne, Australia, when I was eighteen. It opened very early and to make sure we would get to the best finds, we'd go together in groups of three or four friends, catch the early train and forage through the market before the crowds would get there.  The thing with vintage earrings is that whichever way you wash it, it's just gross to wear someone else's earrings. As much scrubbing them clean with alcohol as I did, and how perfectly they went with what I was wearing, and call me a germophobe, but I couldn't get rid of that weird sensation with the thought that someone else with a possible earring-hole infection wore them before me.  So, naturally, I was delighted to discover recently, a trove of vintage earrings like the ones I would buy at the Sunday vintage markets in Melbourne, that are new, never-worn!, infection and germ-free clip-ons.
