I really wanted to post this on BV's facebook page today, but for some unholy reason, my facebook account is under "site maintenance" and they won't let me log in.  I can't really live without my fb, so hopefully, I can get back on very soon.  Meanwhile, we were working on putting together a couple of monochromatic looks, which is something I have always loved experimenting with.  Wearing only one color might sound boring, but if done well, is visually elongating and can really make you stand out.

We started off with a BV Vintage 2-Piece, that you can either wear together as a dress, like this:

BV Vintage Lace Top $50

BV Vintage Lace Skirt $50
Skirt + Top $95

I recently picked up a copy of Harper's Bazaar, the British issue, here are some "clippings" I cut, to paste on my desktop for inspiration.

My fascination with vintage earrings began in the Victorian Market, in Melbourne, Australia, when I was eighteen. It opened very early and to make sure we would get to the best finds, we'd go together in groups of three or four friends, catch the early train and forage through the market before the crowds would get there.  The thing with vintage earrings is that whichever way you wash it, it's just gross to wear someone else's earrings. As much scrubbing them clean with alcohol as I did, and how perfectly they went with what I was wearing, and call me a germophobe, but I couldn't get rid of that weird sensation with the thought that someone else with a possible earring-hole infection wore them before me.  So, naturally, I was delighted to discover recently, a trove of vintage earrings like the ones I would buy at the Sunday vintage markets in Melbourne, that are new, never-worn!, infection and germ-free clip-ons.
